French Holiday

Seven families and five carers, thirty two people in total, travelled to France for the most amazing holiday. Mike and Hilary were our hosts and did a brilliant job of looking after us all. They hired the necessary profiling beds and hoist for us as well as being our tour guides on our days out and provided us with lovely meals.

During our stay we travelled to Rennes on the Metro for a bit of culture and shopping. We also visited a cider farm and spent the afternoon on the beach, also finding time to eat in one of the lovely street cafes. A lot of the lads really enjoyed a trip to a crazy exhibition of moving models. We visited a French market and had a picnic by the lake at Guerledan.

The whole holiday was both interesting and relaxing, and gave everyone a chance to have time with their family and friends. It was a wonderful opportunity to forget the stresses of everyday life. The five carers who supported our families did a fantastic job of offering the young people some much needed independence.
