Wheelfever Workshop, Wheelfever 2008 proved to be a real success... these were the words written in the local newspaper to describe our second dance event!

21 young people and their families enjoyed workshops that introduced them to new ways of creating movement that were both challenging and inspiring. They worked with dancer and choreographer Kuldip Singh-Barmi who is an Associate Artistic Director of the internationally renowned inclusive Dance Company, 'CandoCo'. The workshop included tasks to build skills and develop ideas with an emphasis on making connections with each other, intention and dynamics! Technical stuff!

two children holding hands Comments from the group included
“loved it... need to work on my confidence!”
“Thoroughly enjoyed myself”
“Really enjoyed it – Thank you. More please!”
“Glad I came”.

"I am seventeen years old and I have Cerebral Palsy. My favorite thing to do of all time is ........ WHEELCHAIR DANCING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It is great fun and a great way to keep fit and build your muscles up as well as boosting confidence. I should know because since I started dancing on a regular basis, my confidence and self esteem has really started to grow and I have started to come out of my comfort zone, which I am finding very difficult to do. But I really enjoy it because it also gives me a chance to relax and de-stress when I am feeling VERY emotional.". Yasmine.

Everyone wants to do more so watch this space for dates coming in May, June and July!
